OVSL is a recreational league dedicated to the development of soccer with the children of Washington county and the surrounding areas. The Ohio Valley Soccer League is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that hopes to be a positive influence in the lives of many local children and their parents for decades to come.
Quick Facts
- Fees: $45, includes team jersey and socks
- Ages: 3-15
- Game Days: Saturday mornings and afternoons for most age groups. 7 games per season*
- Practice Schedules: Coaches choose their own times for 1 or 2 practices per week. Most coaches practice for about an hour between 5:00 and 7:30.
- Game and Practice Location: Games and practices will be on our fields located just 1 mile from WHS, behind the Dollar General on St Rt 550 (Google Map).*
- Coaches: All OVSL coaches are volunteers. Contact us if you’re interested in helping out.
- Referees: OVSL referees are paid per game and are certified through the US Soccer Federation Referee Program. Most are teenagers still gaining experience.
- OVSL Philosophy: OVSL is a recreational, development league. Team records and standings are not kept to keep focus on development of all players.
- Rosters: Rosters are selected by administrators in an effort to create competitive balance and are reset every Fall Season.
*Our U15 age group keeps a separate schedule and field location than the other age groups. U12 sometimes plays “away” games as well.
